Simple habits that protect the surface
- Use a soft cloth and a cleaner approved for your specific surface.
- Wipe spills promptly and use cutting boards and heat protection.
- Ask about sealing for natural stone; do not assume every material needs it.
- Check with the supplier before using abrasive, acidic or strong chemical products.

Quartz surfaces
Clean with mild soap, water and a soft cloth. Quartz is stain-resistant, not stain-proof: remove spills promptly. Use a chopping board and put hot cookware on a trivet. Follow the product care guide before using a stronger cleaner; routine sealing is not normally needed.
Granite & other natural stone
Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner, rinse and dry. Avoid abrasive powders and acidic household cleaners. Sealing depends on the particular stone, finish and use; ask which product and maintenance interval suit your countertop.
Marble & quartzite
Acids can etch marble, and sealer does not stop that reaction. Quartzite is a different stone: confirm the slab’s identity and its supplier’s care instructions. A trade name alone does not establish how a natural stone will perform.
Spills, stains & repairs
Blot a spill before cleaning it. Do not mix cleaning chemicals or experiment with acids and abrasives. For a persistent mark, chip, crack or damaged finish, send Alpine a clear photo and the material details. We can discuss repair or refinishing after assessing the surface.
